The second-hand marketplace Shoppers Share Displeasure About Sizing Changes
Shoppers are voicing their frustration after an update resulted in products showing incorrect sizing.
The second-hand shopping app has updated its sizing categories for female and kids' apparel failing to inform all users about the change.
Social Media Response
Countless users and merchants are expressing on platforms claiming that product pages now present a modified sizing category than originally posted because of the remapping.
The company said the updated approach better aligns with other platforms.
It has advised users to examine their items and adjust the sizing manually where appropriate, resulting in member annoyance.
Sizing System Updates
Earlier, the sizes had both numerical and alphabetical indicators, like S/8 or M/10.
The new system has an alphabetical indicator and numerical range such as S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - for example a size L was formerly size 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

A fashion influencer, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, said garments she listed featuring size 14 markings were appearing on the platform as size 20–22.
"If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they're going to be very disappointed," she stated.
Manual Updates
A different user, from Derby, explained she became annoyed by the change as she had to manually change the measurements for "each individual item".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, because of my ongoing medical condition and selling on Vinted has been paramount after experiencing income reduction," she explained.
Marketplace Information
The platform boasts over 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK.
It has proved a popular alternative versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion when a surprising modification within the service has received backlash: earlier, Vinted reversed a change regarding delivery choices after backlash from users.
